Kayo's Misc & Etc

What is my blog about? A bit of this and a bit of that. I guess you could say my postings are the Memoirs of an Amateur. I was born and raised in Chicago. My husband and I now live in Frederick County VA, near Winchester. We have had lots critters over the years. Some were ours. Some were visitors. I want to write about the animals, past and present, from time to time. Perhaps someone else can enjoy the animals vicariously. Look for future Tales from the Farm; City Girl Gone Wild.

Welcome Baby Hunter!!!

Best Wishes to Baby Hunter, Momma Carrie, and Poppa Ronnie! Our first grandchild, Hunter Thomas Riccitelli, made his debut in Baltimore Maryland at 11:37 pm (EDT) tonight. Hunter came into the world at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and 21 inches long. Baby, mom & pop are doing fine. This is truly a momentous day. See the slide show to the right. Welcome!

Welcome to my blog. It's new-ish and ever changing. Since I've never done this before, I'm playing with the elements so I don't know what to expect. Check back from time to time. You may find something of interest.

Update: although the blog is no longer new, I've been away from it for a while so it's still very young. I moved to Virginia in December of 2015. (At the moment I can't find a way to update the header info that mentions Chicago!) We still have lots of critters around so the focus of my blog hasn't really changed much, if at all. I also started a genealogy blog in July of 2016. I'll include some, or all, of those posts from time to time. Look for Olson Family AdVENTures. So many things to write about and so little time!
